It was a quiet day for the Indian equity. The Nifty held above 5600 led by IT, metal and FMCG stocks. The Sensex closed up 30.44 points or 0.16% at 18537.01, and the Nifty was up 4.30 points or 0.08% at 5630.90.

About 1576 shares advanced, 1183 shares declined, and 706 shares remained unchanged.

Positive trend returned to the market after 9 sessions. Sensex 131 points higher at 18460 and Nifty closed 43 points higher in 5615. 0.4 per cent to 0.75 per cent and BSE Smallcap and Midcap strong.

Realty shares surged between 2.5 per cent. FMCG, consumer durables, bank, IT, Healthcare, Metal, from 1.4 to 0.7 per cent in the tech sector was strongly Capital goods rose by 0.2 per cent to 0.4 per cent and oil & gas.

Power Stock have broken 1%, Auto shares 0.25 per cent and government stocks are down by 0.2 per cent.

For tomorrow's trading session Nifty is looking consolidate at the time. As today it has traded on a flat mode. If Nifty cross the 5620 level then it could be in bull trend and may get the 5640 level in tomorrow's trading. But below the 5530 level it will get into a bearish trend.
